Nautica's bright green eyes saw straight through me and left an impression on my heart that compelled me to give him a taste of the food that I was eating.
You may be wondering: Who is Nautica? Nautica was the name that I gave to a black, green eyed stray cat that I rescued during one cold winter day when I was a child. After I brought him in my home, I noticed that someone placed a rubber band around his tail and tortured him. His tail was severely damaged. I removed the rubber band, cleaned his tail every day and put Vaseline on it until it healed. Everyday, I fed him his cat food and then I would prepare my breakfast.
I quickly noticed that every time I would get something to eat, Nautica would walk over towards me and patiently sit in hopes that I would drop a piece from my meal just for him to eat. Eventually, I dropped food in his bowl and Nautica enjoyed every bit of it.
